My initial impetus to make this project was to explore and present the monologues and sonnets of Shakespeare in a way I had not seen before... more intense, more focused, more at stake. My second impetus was to share this journey with friends whose work I admired and who I knew could, and would, bring out the very thing I wanted to bring out. Truth. Urgency. The fire of the moment... moments of struggle, pain, confusion, fear.... of what it is to be a human being.
